What is Custom Object?

Standard CRM objects include contacts, companies, and deals. Custom objects let you create additional data structures specific to your business - like 'Projects', 'Subscriptions', 'Locations', or 'Assets'. HubSpot allows custom objects that can relate to standard objects. When integrating, custom objects often need to be mapped to corresponding structures in other systems, which may also have their own custom objects. This matching can be complex when systems model data differently.
